HOLY FUCK!!

What a book.

Loved the writing, the plot, the world, the characters, the DRAGONS, I loved it all.

I do like that there is a lot of diversity in the characters and that it’s not an all white party (if you get the reference you’re hot).

It’s an absolute whirlwind of a ride and I love the books that you can theorise on, I had a few theories that proved true and a few guesses that I got right… it’s like a reward getting things right.

I will say it did remind me of divergent but obviously with dragons so I’m wondering did she take inspiration or totally rip it off (I’ve not read that series and I’ve only seen bits of the film - and it still reminded me of it)

So.. Obviously I had to buy the next book and it’s coming tomorrow, I’m ready for the next book! (I can’t believe it would only let me get a delivery on Tuesday for it and not Monday, devastated isn’t the word).

Loved Violet, Xaden, Rhiannon (I’m scared she’s gonna be first friend/first betrayal category - I’m hoping for the best), Ridoc <3, Liam </3, Imogen, the dragons!!!! I love them all so much.

Xaden, the man that you are.

I love how strong and fragile Violet is and I really like how resourceful and brave (with fighting but also with being vulnerable with Xaden) she’s just such a great character.

And honest to fuck, FUCK DAIN, I did a halfway update kinda thing and I was like fuck dain THEN, nevermind NOW, HOW DID HE GET WORSE???? SHE BETTER NOT FORGIVE HIM IM TELLING YOU NOW.

god my heart, I will say I got the spoiler for his death, but I thought it was in iron flame so this hit me out of nowhere and I was so devastated.

I KNEW it was Brennan he was taking her to, I guessed it so quick, quite proud of myself lmao.

Also!!!! JACKS DEATH??? HAPPINESS, JOY and I was saying it to the group… and then I thought, this is too joyful of a death, some fuckass shit show is gonna happen and he’s not gonna of died, I could feel the joy whittle away and I can feel it in my bones he’s not gonna be dead AND nothing was said about his body or nothing, I know he fell down the cliff side but he’s a fuckass dude. I really hope my gut feeling is wrong.

And yeahhh I think that’s it, what a book!
