OKAY MISS EMILY MCINTIRE! i feel like this has been the first dark romance book i’ve actually enjoyed and not just trudged through. 
okay, yes, james is a horrible person but that’s the point of a morally grey character and somehow i still care about him?? 
i appreciate that the author didn’t shy away from details (although i understand this is not everyone’s cup of tea). i would just find it hard to believe
a murderer or serial killer would just be like “yeah i killed him. anyway!!” like it makes sense that james’s pov was a little more gruesome
. i felt there was actual chemistry between the love interests and it didn’t feel forced. i appreciated the sexy scenes but i was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t just straight smut. idk man, i just had a good time, i really like emily mcintire’s writing, and i'm excited to continue the series.
