Flights
by Olga Tokarczuk
This feels like a good time to say my reviews are based solely on my enjoyment and not any sort of literary critique because does this book deserve to be rated lower than First Wing? No, of course not. This won the noble prize for goodness sake. But also, I didn't really enjoy it. After about 30 pages I reached out to some friends to see if I should keep reading and it was suggested to look at it like a collection of short stories instead of a novel, which definitely helped. The writing and translation is beautiful, there's no denying that. But I just didn't really get the point.
