I had so many expectations bc of the cozy fantasy concept but damn... I had such a bad time reading it mainly bc of the main character, Emily.

Emily is the most flat, robotic and unlovable character I had ever read. She doesn't have a character development (if we don't count her showing ONE single feeling at the very end). We never know about her past, her fears, the author give us nothing to empathize with her.

And even tho the format of the book is like a diary/investigation journal from Emily's POV you would think is bc of that but I enjoyed way more reading Wendell's POV in the encyclopedia.

The book get's interesting with something that happens 20% before it ends, before that, just two "big things" happen and the rest is absolutely nothing.

Thanks for coming to my TedTalk.
