Can't go wrong with an Amy Daws book! I haven't been reading the synopsis or reviews for her books, I just pick up the next one and go! So, I was surprised Spoiler when the pregnancy was revealed. I'm glad that I didn't find out ahead of time because I usually feel annoyed going into a pregnancy book. They just aren't my jam. But this didn't take over the entire book and when Booker worked through all his emotional stuff, I understood why the pregnancy trope was used here. I support Amy Daws using this trope because she's done it twice (that I'm aware of) and I didn't hate it either time.
