I’m not a huge book crier but I’m probably going to cry every time I think about A Court of Silver Flames. I truly think it deserves six stars, it was perfection - this book literally has everything I love and need in a book. True friendships, found family, putting in the hard work on yourself, facing your demons, character development that makes you cry, real romantic relationships that require truth and effort. As many tense/stressful and sad moments there were in this book, there were equal funny quotes, banter, and spice (which added so much complexity and fun to the plot without detracting from it).

As I said in my other ACOTAR book reviews, there are so many stories going on, so many subplots in the four parts of this book. But the world is woven so well that it’s so easy to know all the characters and avoid confusion. The writing is vivid and descriptive, I can so easily picture it all happening in my mind as I read. It took me a week to read this book but don’t let that fool you, I was trying to comprehend and savor it. Plus, annotating adds extra time. I got to spend so much time with my favorite found family!

Nesta was such a complex character to develop. The reader goes from not liking her to (if you’re anything like me) realizing that you are in fact, a Nesta. I never expected to love her more than Feyre, to relate to her in deep ways that make me actually emotional to think about. If I was going to give an example or mention my top two character developments of all time (that all authors should look to) it’s Nesta and Severus Snape. I am truly really blown away by her development. Her friendship with Emerie and Gwyn is so special.

Cassian is such a lovable bat boy. He grows so much in this book and I love that we got his POV too! It was so needed. The way he cares for everyone is really wonderful. He is definitely a top book boyfriend. He and Rhys are definitely rivaling my top spot (Azriel too even though we haven’t gotten his book yet). I had no doubts about Cassian, ever.

A Court of Silver Flames is my favorite ACOTAR book (never did I expect it to unseat ACOMAF!!) I may have to sleep on it but I’m pretty sure that I can say ACOSF is my favorite book of all time. I’m also not sure how Sarah J. Maas expects me to read anything else ever again???? The bar is so fucking high
