This is a friends to lovers Romance about Summer, a librarian who falls for reformed bad boy turned writer Cole. It’s told in both POV and has that insta-love vibe.

I enjoyed the light plot as I was getting myself out of a reading slump. The character development was fine, Summer has a naivety and people pleasing type personality which might feel annoying for some readers yet I found her qualities endearing. Cole’s ‘bad boy’ persona gives more teenage rebellion/lost puppy vibe than the controlling alpha stereotype that is trending and I enjoyed the change of pace.

The plot line almost wholly focussed on their budding relationship and the ‘mysterious stalker’ theme is only lightly touched on here and there rather than having a constant tense or suspenseful feeling that builds through out the book. I think I would have given more stars if the plot remained focused on fleshing out their relationship and greater development of the minor characters. It could have done without this theme altogether.
I recommend this to those who enjoy a light paced romance with some medium spice to it!
