I didn’t realize when I picked this book up that I had already read it until I was pretty well into…which is wild. I for sure didn’t realize I had given it a 5 star rating!! That’s even wilder! I don’t know if I missed something or if my opinions have just changed that dramatically in a year but this actually felt yucky. It somehow felt like grooming even though everyone involved is technically an adult.
Laughing at my previous review now. I didn’t even like the epilogue this time around!! It felt like Oaklyn was really helping him process deep issues and he was doing what? Taking care of her financially? It just hits different at 29 apparently.

Well that was unexpectedly delightful! Totally just thought of this was a throw away read going in, turned my world upside down instead!
THAT EPILOGUE THOUGH!!!
“She sat with me in the dark and loved me through it.” That really got me.
