Enjoyed this book and the traveling aspect of the MCs getting to know each other. O'Connell's book seem to always have a dog as a strong ally to our MCs and this book is no exception. Thankfully, never any animal deaths, only some cruelty at times.
Would recommend if you already like this kind of books. If you want to try out the genre, go with silver eyes, golden eyes by the same author or even beautiful bad man. This one gets a bit more clunky in. the story towards the end, when all I wanted was for the characters to get to where I knew exactly they'd end up chapters before they did.
