I always have such a hard time writing a review for an audiobook. Because itโ€™s an interpretation of something thatโ€™s also subjective - and because, like in this case, the audio can totally impact my appreciation of the book.

๐ŸŒŸ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜„: Iโ€™m not the biggest fan of Melissa Fosterโ€™s writing to begin with, and a cringy audio didnโ€™t make it any better unfortunately.

Itโ€™s hard to describe, because sheโ€™s not a bad writer by any means. Her stories are solid. Language and grammar and structure are all there. But here characters are sometimes stereotypical and her dialogue is a little cringe. Her latest work is sooooo much better, but this serves me right for reading a 6-year-old book.

Didnโ€™t love the audio at all. It just didnโ€™t hit right or enhance my reading in any way. Bummed, but not mad if that makes sense.
