This book had all the ingredients for a great romance—Mel and Beeze had serious potential. But instead of diving deep into their connection, the story got lost in the drama. I was hoping to feel the tension, the intimacy, the swoon… but the romance kept taking a backseat. Unfortunately, it felt like the heart of the story got buried under too much mess.
