The Summer I First Saw You
by Elizabeth O'Roark
5/5⭐️ forbidden age gap is probably my favourite trope but I never expected one that was mixed with romcom vibes to be a solid 5 star read.
This is part of a series but can be read entirely as a standalone and you won’t feel like you’re missing information.
I loved that the fmc wasn’t the typical virgin inexperienced heroine, Daisy knew exactly what buttons to press to get Harrison to lose control and she had fun doing it.
The tension between these two was off the charts and seeing Harrison’s inner monologue of trying his best to not act on his thoughts had me screaming like JUST GIVE IN PLEASE. Also, the spice was so worth it once we got there, I had to regain composure after reading it.
Above all I loved how fleshed out characters were, like how are these not real people? Their actions always made sense and even when they had miscommunication at points it all made sense. I actually related to the fmc’s personality a lot so it just made me love the book that much more.
