Well written. The first half of the book felt slower, though necessary to build up everything going on. The author captured the fear and paranoia of the witch trials as well as the accusals quite well.
I found myself dreading the chapters written from the law side of things and I'm not sure why.
I have some mixed feelings on the ending, some of which I could see coming and some completely surprised me. A little disappointed that there wasn't more play/chase with law enforcement once they were aware of what the main character had done - it's just written in the journal chapters like she just disappeared.
