Fun Gothic fantasy with high highs, but definitely some awkward language. The author does a good job of conveying the MC's experience to the reader, but there's a good chunk of time where the Mc is bored out of her skull, and that chunk drags. Still, it's worth pushing through for all the dominoes to fall, ending quite strong.
Moderate: Death, Suicide, Violence, Blood, Vomit, Medical content, Death of parent, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail
