The Painter's Daughters by Emily Howes
4.0

The writing was beautiful, and the later addition of the second POV was powerful once I realized the connection to Peggy by the end. This deals with some difficult topics like mental illness and how others perceive of those with one. The plot is fairly slow moving and focused on the characters, but I didn’t mind this. If you like reading about this time and place, this is worth a read for the great writing alone.
