The Bodyguard by Katherine Center

2.0

I can’t tell which is better, indifference or hatred towards a book. I feel nothing to this book. The plot was so thin, it was barely there. Nothing was written with detail. Not enough details or specific scenes that linger on my mind. Everything was grazed over, except what the main character was thinking. Her thoughts and feelings are well documented. But it wasn’t that interesting. Her struggles weren’t well explained enough. The characters’ chemistry didn’t really pop. The jump between work to love was done so obviously. Suddenly she loved him. Suddenly he loved her?? Also, the author kept describing actions like this:
She nodded like, you know?
He shrugged like, no idea.
It’s ok if there’s 1 or 2 in THE WHOLE BOOK. But there’s at least 3 every chapter… it’s a pet peeve.
