A good middle book to this trilogy. My only gripe was that not much happened. It was a little slow. But, given the depth and quality of characters it is more than forgivable. There was one aspect to Cia towards the end that I struggled to believe - she is a hero, always, yet suddenly she was full of doubt and cowardly. I struggled to by that as she had spent the best part of two books being brave and strong. I really like these books and the story, it's believable and rich and I love the characters and how easily the author makes the horrific actions of some believable and compelling. I eagerly await the last book.
