Odd Interlude by Dean Koontz
3.0

I liked the story but it should have been half the length it is. I started to find it annoying with the constant repetition of of ideas and thoughts of previous books. I know, it's to let readers know a bit about Odd's previous adventures if they hadn't read them but they didn't have to be pounded in so thoroughly over and over. It just becomes quite tedious which is why I gave it only 3 stars. This was meant to be a filler story so it wasn't necessary to be wordy. Unless one is being paid by the word.

I found it threw me for a loop with the introduction of another POV in some of the chapters but it did add some insight and moved the story along as background while Odd was doing his thing.

As I said, even with these small annoyances in writing, I liked the story of our reluctant hero saving a little girl, Jolie Anne Harmony, and her family from being psychic hostages/slaves to a malevolent alien corrupted madman.
