I tried the read a grown up book thing and it didn't work - maybe I'll try again once I'm home.
The aging thing hits more as an adult. Last time I read this was with my grandparents, now they're both gone. I see the de-aging and the minuses as kinda a metaphor for second childhood and death.
The Chinese stuff aged awfully. The stupid president thing aged remarkably though.
I love Roald for his silliness and word play.
I especially liked the sci fi elements like the space Hotel.
Laughed throughout. Cried at the minus numbers.
