Holy wow there was a lot going on in this novel! I still enjoyed Detective Hatcher and all her sassiness and smarts, but there was just way too much plot wise going on here. I was struggling to remember events from the first 20 or so pages for something that was occurring 200 pages in. Otherwise, I would have really enjoyed the novel!
As I've been reading this Ellie Hatcher series my mind, as it often does when I read fiction, pulled up the image of Detective Linden and Detective Holder from the TV show "The Killing." Two of my favorite detective duos ever! Linden has Hatcher's can-do independent attitude and Holder has Rogan's sarcastic, tough guy attitude! Which is really making me enjoy these characters!
