I missed Aelin in this book. Chaol and Nesryn were my least favorite characters of the main bunch, so I was a little disappointed to find that this book centered around them. But I really enjoyed it. The southern continent was painted so vividly. SJM is really excellent at world building. And the newer characters (and the re-visited Irene Towers) were really great.
