Dune by Frank Herbert

muffled screaming into a pillow

Well gang, it finally fucking happened. Much sooner than I ever anticipated (and to the extreme chagrin of The Stormlight Archives waiting on my shelves for this, 2024 The Promised Year of My Reading Of Them) we are entering the world of Dune.

And I must say, I am quite frankly obsessed with this world. The characters, the writing style where we get to learn of the various thoughts people are having during interactions adding to the already excellent political tension and intrigue. Gosh, it's wonderful! I am so grateful that I saw the first film in the cinematic rerelease ahead of part two coming out and that spurred me into reading the series because my GOD. It's so nice to read something that's like, a classic of a genre you adore and see why it has been so popular for so long. Like fuck, I get it gang.

This shit is fucking good.
