Map of Bones by James Rollins

3.0

Not bad, but not a page-turner either, so it took rather long to finish it. Like the Dan Brown books it is ok to read James Rollins once in a while.
There is quite a lot of explanation of (religious) history, Vatican, Templars etc. While not a Dan Brown-ripp-off, it could have been shorter or contained less history and more action. Characters are well drawn and rather likeable, it is from a series of books (Sigma Force), but I have not read the other books, I guess there is a certain amount of character-developement, so it may be worth it to read the other books in the series, as a guilty-pleasure during holidays. If I remember right this is the second book by James Rollins I have read.

I got this ebook free from Barnes & Noble as a promo for Webreading, and was able to download the book as an epub.
After reading it I would set a price limit of max. Us$ 8 on the ebook edition if you must pay for it. It is (for me) not worth more.
