Very important book. Absolutely brilliant. Mastefully written, the richness of the languages & the berth of the book, the amount of references is staggering. I liked it, I loved it, I agreed with it (or rather I agreeed with Robin's perspective the moment Robin agreed with Griffin).

There isn't much to say. I hope for more books like this & books like this but about France.

(I hope my delay in reading this book will furthermore remind me not to buy the big hardcover anymore, because then I don't read them because they are too big to log around).
