I enjoyed the start of this novel more than the ending, and the pace tapered off, particularly in the last couple of chapters. Not a lot happened, but the prose was captivating in places, and the social commentary on gender, time and society were thought provoking. That being said, I got lost at many points and I didn’t quite gel with the narrative of Orlando’s later life.
