Okay well that escalated quickly.

After much confusion at the start of the first book whether this is a paranormal romance, it's definitely been cleared up now....OH DEFINITELY.

It's gotten a ton more spicy and even added one more delicious man to the mix. I'm still not seeing how Wesley fits into this, as he's simply too sweet compared to the roster of men in the harem.

I loved seeing the world building and magical lore being extended upon and am super intrigued what this will mean for the following books.

I do see tons of parallels to The Bonds That Tie (2021), one of my all-time fave series, which gave me this constant sense of deja-vue. It definitely took some time to shake off that feeling, seeing that it has so many things in common, like the fact it has two brothers (one of which hates her), she gets stronger the more men she bonds with, she needs to have sex with them in order to bond, etc etc

I've since been told that most of these tropes are fairly common in shifter romances, so I guess I gotta brush up on my furry books.
