Fun fact: It took me 6 years to finish reading this book.

I am a big fan of the movie and had never read the book but was curious of it. So when I came across its cover on a yard sale, I bought it instantly.
Yes, they were similarities from the book to the movie, but for the most part, I felt as if I was reading a different story. And that was okay by me.
Armand was describe slightly different. Instead of losing his wife, like it was portrayed in the movie, Louis lost his brother.
There were more talks of other vampires, characters and scenes that were not seen in the movie. And the ending was different, to my surprise. But I was not disappointed with it’s entirety at all.
It felt new. Refreshed. And the writing was heavenly presented. I enjoyed reading about the different sceneries and beautiful works of art.

I milked my way by it because I wanted to savor every page, taste every sentence and capture every scene in fine detail.
I will be looking into book 2 and 3(since Queen of the Damned was also a favorite of mine)
