“When he watched her sleeping, he often thought, My heart lies vulnerable outside my chest.”

I really enjoyed this one. An urban paranormal romantasy at its finest. I really enjoyed the lore the author built in her world, but don’t be expecting high fantasy level world building (wrong genre). The author did a great job with this urban fantasy. It had good plot underneath the romance between Lachlain + Emma. It was so nice to see Emma grow into her own stand up to all of the influences trying to have the deciding vote in her life. She proved she wasn’t “Emma the Timid” as every one had called her the entirety of her life.

This is a werewolf romance novel. The MMC is very possessive like majority of stories in the genre. If you don’t like ultra possessive MMCs, then this book isn’t for you.
