Those Left Behind by Brett Matthews, Will Conrad, Joss Whedon

5.0

Okay, I keep going on about how Joss Whedon is a genius and how his show Firefly (and corresponding movie, Serenity) is his best work...even with a lack of vampires (that's saying something for me). I'm not wrong. If you haven't seen the show (which you probably haven't as Fox went out of their way to make it impossible to watch), beg, borrow, or buy the series. You will not regret it. Then, do the same for the movie. This comic takes place between the show and the movie. Well-written (again, like watching the show in comic format), nicely drawn, and overall awesome. There's also a brief history of the universe, circa 2156 AD (written by Joss) and some Serenity pre-production sketches. Only one real complaint--the artist(s?) couldn't manage to capture Inara (and Simon's jaw was never quite that square). But at least they nailed Mal.
