This book is legit a roller coaster of plot and emotions and romance. I thoroughly enjoyed my time. I think this is the book I’ve read the fastest this year, I could not put it down. That doesn’t mean it’s perfect, though.

I LOVE Grim. I think he is a very interesting character with a lot of nuance and I find him to be very interesting. I think most of the characters are well written and interesting, tbh. But I do think Oro falls a little flat. He’s giving basic copy and paste pensive light king. But I am biased (see above).

I also found the story to be engaging and enjoyable. It was predictable, but not enough that I was bored. I was very much engaged the whole time. And the writing was overall pretty good. The character interactions were FIRE. Grim has insane flirting skills.

I did find the beginning a bit confusing when they were explaining the realms and rulers and rules of the centennial, but you figure it out as you read. It just took like 50 pages before I fully got it.
