God of Malice by Rina Kent

4.0

4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I bet Rina Kent wrote this book just to prove why she's the queen of dark romance. Istg, God of Malice caught me off guard because I didn't expect for it to so dark that made me question my morals. However, that didn't stop me from enjoying the book. In fact, this book exceeded my expectations about this couple. I seriously didn't expect Killian and Glyndon could won me over with this story. In fact, I'm actually pleased that it turned out better than I have expected.

Let me start my review by saying that I have never read a book with a psychotic hero like Killian Carson. Just imagine. Him and Glyndon serving non con in the very beginning of the book. Lord, he really made my jaw drop because I didn't expect for their relationship to escalate that quickly. This man is extremely obsessed with Glyndon and I don't think she can escape him even if she wanted to.

In the story, Glyndon accidentally caught Killian's attention. Starting from that moment, he wouldn't leave her alone. He chased after her until she became his and his alone. One thing that I didn't expect from Killian is that he's pretty sweet when it comes to Glyndon. Some of their moments are just wholesome and that's a literal weakness of mine. I just can't resist fictional man who only shows his soft side to his love interest. Also, let's not forget about their smut? Their steamy moments really got me blush. Killian's dirty talk didn't help either.

However, I still think that Killian and Glyndon deserve more time to shine. For me, I think they got overshadowed by other characters which kinda upset me a little bit. Even so, I'm not really complaining since the crumbs made me even more excited to read the rest of the upcoming books. All the crumbs from potential couples gave me the buzz. I seriously can't wait!

Anyways, if you haven't read Royal Elite Series and Lies & Truth duet, then I highly recommend you guys to read those series first. It's better to know about the first generation characters before diving into the second gen. Some readers might hate certain characters in this book, so it is much better for you to understand their stories first before reading it from the perspectives of Killian and Glyndon.

Overall, God of Malice is such an addicting read that got me hooked from the beginning till the end. It is such a page turner with its dark elements and interesting plot. It's been so long since I read a good NA romance, and I'm happy that Rina reminded me again why this genre used to be my top favourites.
