5⭐
I am honestly surprised that this volume is so unpopular. Yes, Maomao and Jinshi have very little interactions (although, very significant!) but I liked the new characters and how things developed. I enjoyed it a lot more than volumes 5 and 6.
I'm even proud to say that I predicted a few things before Maomao which never happens.
I do admit, I think I'm more than ready to move on from the White Lady. I'm exhausted of the plot revolving around her and I look forward to a fresh new plot, which volume 8's summary seems to be promising.
I loved Yao, En'en and their dynamic. Maomao navigating daily life while avoiding Lakan has to be one of the funniest things in the series.
Can't wait to read the next volume!
