Well, this one was definitely... something!
I'm still not 100% how I feel about it. Initially I wanted to give it 3.5 ⭐s, but I do LOVE Hendrix's writing style so I ended up giving it 4⭐s.
I honestly wanted to love this book more than I did. With that said, I still enjoyed it, still laughed a couple of times, still cringed a bit...in that good-horror-read sort of way.
I felt that the beginning took forever. I know Hendrix was setting the scene and building the story, but I felt like a toddler in the backseat whining, "ARE WE THERE YET" more times than I would have wanted.
