The Friend by Dorothy Koomson

5.0

Cece moves to Brighton with her kids for her husbands job and enrols her youngest boys into a private school. However, what Cece didn’t know was a couple of weeks before a child’s mother got severely beaten and left for dead in the school playground.

All eyes are on Cece on the first day of school, or are they? Cece makes friends with Anaya, Maxie and Hazel who evidently turn out to be the frirnds of Yvonne, who is now in a coma. But each friend carries a secret and they all have not been entirely truthful about the night Yvonne was attacked.

Whilst Cece is adjusting to her new life, friends and her husbands distance, she is thrown into the mix of who tried to kill Yvonne when her ex turns up who is in charge of the investigation with the police and asks for her help. Will Cece find out what her new friends are hiding and who made an attempt on Yvonne’s life……

I love a Dorothy Koomson book, I didn’t want to put it down. My only grip was the way it was set out, at first was slightly confusing. The writing was on point was lots of little cliff hangers, twists and turns.

Love Dorothy, loved her book. Definitely an Unputdownable keeps your mind ticking, it’s a definite 5/5
