I had to think about my rating for this for a few days. It's such a mixed bag for me. I loved the concepts and the main plot. This is such an epic story that draws you in. However, there's such a huge problem with the pacing and the flow of it. You get great and interesting, well written scenes tucked away in between massive amounts of pages of description and drawn out explanations for things that could have taken two or three pages if even that. This thing is almost 1000 pages long, which doesn't bother as long as it's warranted, but I don't believe that this needed to be as long as it is. A lot of this book could be removed and it wouldn't change what you're reading. So, if you don't like info dumpy books I would highly advise to stay away from this one.
