One of my new favorites. If you didn’t know it was an homage to Little Women, you would never know. Knowing that makes you treasure the story even more. I loved how the Padavano sister’s personalities meshed with a variety of the March sister’s. It was a challenge deciding who was who, which kept my intrigue. The story was rich with dramatic life changes, but each change felt very normal, and real. Some other things I appreciated were involving unlikable characters, the use of time, and that the story remained in third person, despite the change in character which is really rare, and gave great insight. I thought about this book when I wasn’t reading it, which is always my make of a good novel.
