Not for the Faint of Heart by Lex Croucher
3.5

I don't know if it's cause my head cold but I honestly could not keep track of what was going on in this book. Following a healer named Clem and Mariel, granddaughter of the famed Robin Hood, as they embark on a mission to rescue Mariel's father, Not for the Faint of Heart is a fun little fantasy romp with a dash of romance thrown in. The characters are what saved this story for me. I absolutely adore Clem. And Baxter and Morgan deserve the world. Mariel can be annoyingly stubborn at times but is generally a likeable character and soneone with far too much on her shoulders. I think Croucher also did a really good job making a sequel to Robin Hood and establishing the world and group fantasy setting. The final quarter is what really picked up steam and packed some pretty emotional moments. I definitely feel the pacing could have been better but other than that, I enjoyed this and will read more of Croucher's works.
