This is the definition of a swoon-worthy book. Like, pass me a fan please, I might need a fainting couch. Seriously, beautiful writing and tender, fierce emotion. Sometimes the story made my brain feel like it was borked - in a good way! Lots of thinking! But the characters and their relationships always kept me going. On another note, I was DEFINITELY picturing Beau as Tim Riggins from Friday Night Lights, and I kept thinking, 'Wow, this whole book really has a FNL vibe! I wonder if anyone else has noted how much it has that vibe!' And then I finished the book and turned it over, where the cover blurb literally talks about how it evokes the romance of Friday Night Lights. So I guess someone else already made a note of that, lol.
