The Omen Machine by Terry Goodkind

3.0

Considering how far into the series this book is, my hopes weren't all that high. On the one hand, these are familiar characters, and I love them. On the other, the story line is fairly routine. The end has clearly been left open for another book, which, really, doesn't seem necessary. As much as I love the characters, the author is so far from the greatness that was "Wizard's First Rule" that it seems a shame to keep going. Will I read more of the books? Yeah, probably, because I'll be curious what else Terry Goodkind can come up with. Overall, if you already like the series, you'll probably enjoy this book. It's a fast read, and though the first half of the book is plagued with errors and typos, the editors seemed to have done a much better job on the second half.
