I had a really hard time liking Sophie. She could be so manipulative and self centered. I actually found myself wanting to know more of Anna’s story.

especially with how the whole marriage went down. It never occurred to Sophie that Reinholdt wouldn’t want to marry her. Oh no. He naturally wanted to take on Olivia and Nicholas even though he was barely making it himself. And if Reinholdt didn’t like it...well, she’d just leave! Reinholdt was my favorite character in this series. I just wish we’d have seen more of a relationship form with his brother. Usually he just treated Jakob like his employee.

Overall I liked the series and will try reading another of the author’s books!
