I started this series after watching the show because I found the world and characters interesting and wanted to see more of them. However, I didn't love these characters in the show and I didn't love them much in the book either. I find book Daphne to be more enjoyable, but Simon doesn't elicit any strong reactions from me good or bad. There are parts of this book, just like the show, that I find slightly problematic. Overall, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either.
Graphic: Sexual content
There is sexual content in this book, however I find it easily skipped without confusion if you do not wish to read it. There is one scene where the sexual content includes a major plot point, but that is easily accessible information on the internet if needed.
