After finishing this book, my take was that the title was fully ironic and there wasn't really anything overly exciting about this story HAHAH. The back half of the book definitely carried the whole story. There were times where the main character was a little annoying BUTTTTT I had to remind myself miss girl is literally 22 and is allowed to be annoying LOL.

The 'relationships' in this book offered different things - One was comfortable, mediocre, non-fulling, but also a safer situation. While the other required more from her; vulnerability, trust, and a willingness to grow, and potentially more pain (sometimes a natural cost of being vulnerable and putting your heart in someone elses hands??).

Spoiler:
Interesting take on a "love triangle". Ava's insecurities really came out towards the end when trying to figure out how she felt about Julian and Edith. Only goes to show that you're in charge of your own growth / how far you're willing to push yourself.

I've seen people compare this book/writing style to Sally Rooney and that scared me a little simply cos I really disliked Normal People (so much that I haven't picked up another book by them). But I think I went into this prepared to embrace the simplicity of this story and an internal monologue that isn't really complex UNLESS I, as the reader, chose to think critically about this.

Decent, easy read!
