Good book! Creepy and surprising. I would give it 5 stars but I never liked Ava even a little bit. Or the narrator really. This is the first book I’ve read that is very adamantly dating itself around 2013. She did use the phrase “like so many ___” or “like so much ___” noticeably often and that sort of thing doesn’t usually annoy me but it did a little. Overall, it was very different from what I expected it to be in a great way and would have probably resonated with me more if I was generally cynical.
