I always find it hard to get into her books if it's been a while since I read one, because she is objectively kind of a terrible author. It usually doesn't bother me that much, bur I really just couldn't get over it this time. Also, it's been a hot minute since I read the third book and I could not for the life of me remember what happened, other than she finally ascended.
