Are you kidding me with this book! If you would’ve told me that a Goode brother was gonna top Caleb I wouldn’t have believed you. But that’s what happened LUCAS FVCKING GOODE stole my heart and is my FAVORITE GOODE BROTHER. this book and this story is my FAVORITE of this series. Just everything about Sadie & Lucas story made me so happy and filled me with so much joy. All the emotions I went through better yet the emotions they went through I lived it with them.
Maybe because I’m a mom and how Sara describes every bit of Sadie’s pregnancy was so relatable to me. I felt like I connected with Sadie on a deeper level.
Sadie is beautiful, smart and strong. Lucas has a heart of fvcking gold- that man is perfect and caring and protective of those he loves.
Lucas and Sadie’s banter and chemistry was amazingly delicious. He’s her professor but before that she is Sages best friend and manages the club so they know of each other. Lucas decides he wants help her out (because that’s the type of man he is) after a one night stand she has with a man she thought was different and finds herself pregnant and without direction I wanna say. She pushes that man’s buttons and he pushes back in a way that she NEEDS.
This was such a good read. Reading them made me feel good. The Goode brothers have a lot of trauma from their lives with their dad and Lucas is one who never agreed or conformed and fought back. Didn’t believe in love, relationships family, devoted to his work but his growth in this book is something I was so happy to witness. He is seriously EVERYTHING! I’ve fallen in love with him <3 Sadie is my favorite fmc from this series. Shes like a helpless romantic to me. So optimistic, free and go with the flow. She’s so fvcking real and relatable to me. And I love her
