I read this book after I read Normal people, which I loved. This book sadly did not hit me in the same way, but it was still enjoyable to read and had many good quotes and points. Some parts of the plot seemed a bit like repetition, after reading Normal people, the two books were in many ways very similar, although I did not feel the same connection to the characters in this book. 4 stars.

Reread the book after around 2 years. I loved it so much more this time around. Found the characters a lot more relatable after becoming a bit older. It is in many ways similar to Normal people, but also very unique in so many aspects. I found the relationships between the characters so interesting and real. 5 stars.
