The Admiral's Penniless Bride
by Carla Kelly
I liked this one better than the first of hers that I read. I think the author's preferred slower pace suits a longer novel, and my personal tastes, better than a collection of short stories. The length of time gives the characters time to find the romance in each other, rather than the auto-love the shorter stories seem prone to.
I enjoyed both main characters on their own, and the way they interacted together in kindness and consideration throughout.
