There are zero sympathetic characters in this book. It seems very intended by the author that I should walk away hating something… I suppose fascism? But often times I struggled trying to piece together the run on sentences into actual thoughts. It’s often times gross and it feels rebellious in the way kids buy anarchy shirts at Hot Topic. It’s just there to trigger us, but since the book can’t pick a side, neither can the audience. I’m not sure what the author meant to say. This book just made me nauseous.
