Kimber’s fiancé decided he couldn’t say “I do” at what was supposed to be their wedding. Hours later she receives the call that her father is on his death bed and she needs to hurry to Italy if she wants to see him before he passes. As she’s waiting for her flight in an exclusive airport bar she meets Matteo, a man who is so handsome she can’t catch her breath. His flirtations fall on deaf ears as she’s grief stricken and has sworn off men. To add to her bad luck the airline informs her the flight was overbooked and she’s to be bumped to the next one. While arguing with the ticket agent Matteo gives her his first class ticket on the same flight in exchange for her sketch book.
After arriving in Italy just in time to hear her father’s final words to her she discovers he’d remarried and that Matteo is her step brother who is also a clothing designer. His designs are highly sought after.
Kimber’s luck goes from bad to worse. She decides to move to Italy and try to salvage her father’s shop after finding out her shop in the states had burned. He was also a dress designer.
The banter and attraction between Matteo and Kimber is top notch. Throw her ex-fiancé also showing up in Italy into the mix anything can happen. This book also has scene stealing animals. A tiny fur ball ankle biter who loves to show her teeth and hates everyone but her owner and a huge black dog who is scared of her own shadow.
You need to read this book to find out who wins Kimber’s heart and if she can salvage her father’s business. The banter in this book is top notch! I highly recommend!
the first book we had Cajun accents, the second in the series was Scottish accents and in this book we had Italian accents. I am now very muchly spoiled to accents!

❓Do you enjoy listening to narrators with accents❓ I do! I’ve listened to Irish, Scottish and Italian recently. If you don’t listen to audiobooks suggest a sports romance book to me.
