Behind the Camera
by Chelsea Curto
The athlete and nanny trope… who doesn't love it? I know I sure do.
Dallas has a 4 year old daughter, June, and is struggling to keep a nanny. The ones he's hired in the past have ulterior motives when it comes to taking the job. He's at his wits end when Maven, the team photographer, bursts into the coaches office during the weekly meeting Dallas has with him and talks about all her current issues. Without batting an eye, Dallas offers her a job as nanny to help her out.
I'll be honest, kids in a story can make or break it. Some are depicted as a spoiled little punk and their parts in the book are just too over the top. With June, and how Chelsea wrote her character, she's as well written as any other side character that has potential to steal the show. I really did enjoy this book and was happy I could borrow it on Hoopla.
